3 out of the 4 cities who won the 2011 Environment Award for best energy saving water management practices in the province of Barcelona manage their public assets and infrastructures with Rosmiman© Gov.

Hospitalet de Llobregat, Mataró, Granollers and Sabadell receive the Environmental Awards of the Council of Barcelona.

Barcelona Provincial Council has given on May 2011 the sixth Environmental Awards for best initiatives in energy and water saving of municipalities in the province of Barcelona, in the category of towns with more than 50,000 inhabitants L ‘Hospitalet de Llobregat, Mataró, Granollers and Sabadell were the winners.

L’Hospitalet was awarded for the rehabilitation of Harmonia and the Masia Can Riera in the historic center with clean energy intervention; Mataró for the ‘Green Tube’ initiative, the urban heat and cold distribution network; Granollers for its efficiency in the irrigation of the riverside walk of the city and Sabadell for the management of water resources in green areas, reported the Provincial Council in a statement.

The municipalities of Mataró, Granollers and Sabadell have Rosmiman® Gov as a corporate solution for the management of different areas related to Municipal Facilities in the Public Space, Infrastructures and Citizen Services such as Waste Management, Parks and Gardens, Green Areas and Rural Areas, Drainage Infrastructures and Sewer System, Street Lighting, Maintenance and Conservation of Buildings, Municipal Premises and Sports Facilities.

To the awards ceremony attended the president of the Provincial Council, Antoni Fogué, and the Environmental Deputy, Joan Antoni Baron among others; various initiatives were also distinguished in smaller municipalities related to energy saving in swimming pools and rational and responsible use of water.
